Those Prospects You Can't Get in Touch With

Many times when you are canvassing your territory there will be prospects that you simply can't seem to get a hold of either on the phone or in-person. This can be frustrating. However, keep in mind that if these people are difficult for you to get a hold of they are probably also very difficult for other real estate agents to get a hold of too. In this situation be persistent and consider trying new and creative ways to get these people's attention.

In this situation you may find yourself relying on your mailings to these people to build an image of yourself in their mind so that you are the person they call first when they are looking to do something in real estate. And, if you are not doing very much marketing of yourself to your prospects through the mail, you may be missing out on some big opportunities with these people.

Remember, sooner or later these people will have a real estate requirement, and some agent will be representing them in the transaction. Your persistence and your ability to get through to these people, even if it's only one time, may make the difference between you being the agent that represents them in the transaction--or not.
